Lesson 3 · Intro and outro

How a track starts and ends — and why DJs will love you for it.

In the club your track gets mixed: the DJ blends it over the previous one. For that they need 16–32 bars at the start and end where mostly rhythm plays — without melody that clashes with the other track. For streaming the intro may be shorter ().
