The interface

Sidebar, single-key navigation, command palette, beginner and expert mode, help.

On the left is the sidebar with every device, grouped into Studio, Generators, Knowledge, Label and System. Each device has a colour and a key: press G for the Loop Generator, C for the Chord Lab, 1 for the dashboard — as long as no input field is focused.

The Loop Generator with frame (top), tracks and export.

Beginner or expert

At the top right of the header bar you switch between Beginner and Expert (also under “Setup & start”). In beginner mode every page explains in three steps what the device does, advanced controls sit behind “More options”, and technical terms show an explanation on hover — a click opens the glossary with 66 terms. In expert mode everything is visible and compact.

The frame: genre, tempo, key

Almost every device starts with the same frame: genre, tempo (BPMBeats per minute — the tempo. House usually sits at 120–128, drum & bass at 170–176.More in the handbook →) and KeyRoot note plus mode, e.g. A minor. All devices are key-aware so parts fit together.. When you switch devices, they carry the frame along — so the bassline from the Bass Lab fits the chords from the Chord Lab.
