This website uses no cookies, no analytics or advertising services and no social media plugins. Fonts and images are served from our own server. The device demos run entirely in your browser. Only the collaborator portal (/portal) sets a strictly necessary cookie after you sign in. For the newsletter we only store your email address once you sign up, and only send after you confirm.

Hosting and server logs

Our website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. We have a data processing agreement with the provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

Whenever a page is requested, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, referrer, browser and operating system. This serves the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The logs are kept only as long as necessary for this purpose and then deleted.

Device demos in your browser

All demo sounds are generated with the Web Audio interface in your browser; no audio files are loaded or transferred.

The “Hum to MIDI” demo uses your microphone only if you explicitly allow it. The signal is analysed in your browser only, never recorded and never sent to us or third parties. “Microphone off” or leaving the page ends the access.

In the “Analyser” demo you choose an audio file yourself. It is measured in your browser only and not uploaded.

Storage in your browser

If you switch between light and night mode, or choose your level, mark chapters as read and tick off steps in the handbook, we store this only locally in your browser (local storage). It is not transmitted to us. The storage is strictly necessary for the function you requested (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

Collaborator portal (/portal)

The portal is open to invited people only. For an account we process name, email address, a hashed password and, if enabled, the two-factor key. In addition there are the files you store in your area or in the shared library, and device bookings. The legal basis is the collaboration you were invited to (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).

After you sign in, the portal sets a strictly necessary session cookie (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). It only contains a random identifier and expires at the latest after the configured sign-in period. To protect against misuse we log sign-ins and important actions with time and IP address (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

We send invitations, password links and booking notifications by email. We delete account, files and log entries when you or we delete the account; security logs after 12 months at the latest.

Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we process your email address, the chosen language and the page you signed up on. We first send you an email with a confirmation link (double opt-in). You are only subscribed after clicking it; unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after seven days. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

The newsletter appears about every two weeks and reports on the development of our music software, beta access, dates and launch offers. It contains no tracking pixels and no personalised tracking links.

To be able to prove consent (Art. 7 (1) GDPR), we store the time of sign-up and confirmation and the IP address at confirmation. To prevent abuse we limit the number of sign-ups per address and connection; for this we briefly store only irreversible check values, which are deleted after two days.

You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every issue or by emailing us; your consent is then withdrawn for the future. After unsubscribing we keep the address and time of unsubscription only as far as needed as proof, and delete them completely on request. Emails are sent via the mail server of our host ALL-INKL.COM (see hosting).

Contact by email or phone

If you write to us or call us, we process your details to answer your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR). We delete them once the enquiry has been dealt with and no retention obligations apply.

Links

We refer to our projects and to Instagram with simple links only. Data is transferred to the respective website only when you click such a link; its privacy policy applies there.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Simply write to input@artnorama.com.
