Your first track in 20 minutes

A complete run-through: pick a genre, build a loop, chords and bass, arrangement, export and mix check.

In this chapter you build a complete track sketch. All you need is artnorama studio and your DAW. Tick off the steps as you work.

Find a genre (2 min)Open the Genre Atlas (5). Drag the tempo dial to 124 BPM and pick Tech House. The atlas shows typical drums, scales and references.
Roll a loop (4 min)Switch to the Loop Generator (G). Genre and tempo carry over. Press R until you like the groove and lock the drums with the padlock.
Choose chords (3 min)In the Chord Lab (C) pick a template by mood, e.g. “dark, driving”. Listen and hand it to the Loop Generator.
Build a bassline (3 min)In the Bass Lab (B) choose the Rolling style. The bassline follows the chords automatically. Roll until kick and bass alternate instead of stacking.
Plan the structure (3 min)In the Arrangement Planner (A) choose tech house, extended mix. The sketch shows intro, , and outro in 8-bar .
Into the DAW (3 min)Drag all parts as multitrack MIDI plus the arrangement sketch with markers into your project. Put instruments on the tracks.
Check (2 min)Export a first bounce and measure it against the genre target in the Mix Coach (X). The to-do list tells you what to tackle first.
