Bass Lab

The foundation that dances with the kick.

The Bass Lab writes basslines that fit the progression and the genre: rolling sixteenths for techno, offbeat bass for trance and house, acid sequences with accent and slide, long 808 notes with glide, sustained reese tones for drum & bass, disco octaves and walking grooves. A dedicated lane shows accents and slides, and a preview synth with resonant filter and portamento lets you hear the result instantly.

How it works

  1. 01

    Style and chords

Pick a style, build a progression from templates or take it from the Chord Lab.

  2. 02

    Roll and shape

Set density, complexity, variation and octave, preview with a kick.

  3. 03

    Take it with you

Into the DAW as a MIDI clip — slides as overlapping notes for legato and glide.

Roll basslines

Pick a style, roll, listen with a kick. Yellow = accent, blue = slide.
